Constant MADON
Oboe player

Constant received a grant to purchase an oboe.

What is your artistic background ?
I started music at the conservatory of Auxerre, in the class of Vincent Lescornez. At the age of 15 I obtained a diploma in oboe. I quickly became passionate about music, instruments, chamber music and orchestra. Wanting to make a living out of this passion, I entered the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris, in the class of Nora Cismondi. My arrival in Paris made me discover the richness of this environment and confirmed me in my approach, and I participated in all the projects which came my way. In 2016 I entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, in the class of David Walter. The connections I made led me to play chamber music widely. With the Evasio ensemble, I obtained a chamber music degree, also at the CNSM. I passed both these two courses with honors. At the same time, I combined this with training for the state diploma in education because, being conscious of and immensely grateful for all that music has brought to me, I wish to pass it on in my turn. I am currently pursuing my master's degree in oboe in the class of Jacques Tys. At the same time, our ensemble Evasio has just been admitted to the Master of Chamber Music. I hope in the short term to join a professional orchestra and to participate in international competitions.

How do you see your profession today ?
My view of the profession of musician is constantly evolving. It is a profession that requires discipline, the ability to adapt and to question oneself every second so that the emotions one wishes to convey reach the public. At the same time, to be a musician is to have the chance to be in permanent contact with a living, sensitive and extremely rich universe.

How do you see yourself in 5 years ? in 10 years ?
First, I hope to join a professional orchestra and to continue to progress personally and with my wind quintet. On the other hand, I wish to participate in international competitions, in solo and chamber music, for the human and musical experience that it represents.
