I ama choreographer, dancer, ator and singer. I gradueted in Choreography by Falmouth University (2012-2013, UK) and hav a background in Theatre from Academia Contemporânea do Espetáculo (2005-2009, PT). I have also studied costume designer and opera singing. In 2012 was granted an artistic fund by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation to develop my artistic research in Street Theatre in São Paulo, Brazil.
I have worked both as an independent artist and in collaboration with several portuguese and international organizations/ institutions, having performed in various events and festivals in different countries. Aiming at crossing different fields of artistic expression in his artistic work – all come together with a specific purpose in mind, to create artistic objects naturally hybrid where body, voice and manipulation build a multifaceted and unique universe.
I am vocalist of Vurtiga, a experimetal music band and is performer co-creater in the theatre companys Radar 360 (2010-2017, PT) and USINA (2012-2017, PT). I have worked with Madalena Victorino (2015, PT), Emmalena Fredriksson (2013, SE), Trisha Brown Dance Company (2011, USA), Willi Dorner (2010, AUT), Joana Providência (2010, PT), Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz (2010, PT), Companhia Instável (2010, PT), among other.

What is your view on your profession today ?
Pleasurable, gratifying but hard. Most of the artist can not live just with art, in general they have to do one or more part-times for survive, invest in workshops or education and create. I still think, we artists have to be very united and some entities should see and support more culture, inclunding the new and young works. For me, culture is not about spending, but it is an economic and social investment with a future.

How do you see yourself in 5 years? In 10 years ?
Throughout my professional career I have worked in theater, dance and music with commitment, rigor and persistence. Articulating creativity and generosity, both qualities allow me a solid interpretation, through the exploration of new languages, new experiences and new collaborations. What I sincerely hope for my future is to continue to have this solid work with more recognition and financial ability, that allows me to survive with only the performing arts for I can devote my work to what I like more and what I do better.
