Hina CONRADI
Surfer

Hina received a grant to help her enter international surfing competitions.

What is your sporting background ?
I am originally from Réunion and a family of surfers, so I quickly became familiar with the discipline. After being shaken by the shark crisis in 2012 we moved to France so I could continue to train. That's when I started to compete seriously. I was then lucky to be selected very early for the French team, in which I finished 6th in the world in my first year and 3rd this year, which was my last selection as a junior. I continue to win national competitions and I am training for qualification for the QS world tour.

How do you view your profession today ?
Today I am very grateful to be surfing because beyond being my profession it is what contributes to my well-being. Surfing has taught me so many things such as sharing, respect for the environment and for others. It has allowed me to meet people from all over the world and to see other countries and cultures.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years ? In 10 years ?
In 5 years, I see myself fulfilled in what I do, earning my place for the 2028 Olympics while continuing on the WSL tour or on the WQS world circuit. Then in 10 years I see myself on the WCT in the top 5 in the world and on an Olympic podium.
