Ramina SCROB
Lyrical Singer

Ramina received a grant to help her study at The Teatro Real

What is your artistic background?
I was born in Ialoveni, Moldova in 1992. I started my musical studies at the age of seven at the Ialoveni School of Art, specializing in piano and choral singing. Later, I began to study choral conducting and academic singing at the "Stefan Neaga" Center of Excellence and Artistic Education of Chisinau. In 2011 I moved to Madrid and began my training as an operatic singer at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Getafe with my vocal coaching Bridget Clark. I finished in 2018 with an Honorable Mention the title of Professional Singing Teachings. I am currently studying at the Higher School of Vocal Singing of Madrid with the vocal coaching Victoria Manso and repertoire coaching Omar Sánchez. I have debuted the roles of the Condessa of Almaviva from the Opera “Le Nozze di Figaro”, Mari Pepa from the Zarzuela Adios Julián.

What is your view on your profession today?
Our profession is the most beautiful, but at the same time it is the profession that has a very difficult path. It requires a lot of work, effort, dedication, patience and luck. We live in a very complicated stage due to the health situation, and that has prejudiced us a lot. Many concerts, auditions, shows canceled, this has been very hard for us. And then the Crescendo „Creamos Opera” project appeared at the Teatro Real together with Porosus, and which came as a gift from heaven.

How do you see yourself in 5 years? In 10 years? I see myself sing at La Scala Theater, which is not asking for much, it is asking for everything. The goals must be very clear. With perseverance, effort, passion and a lot of work, life takes you on the right path.
