Salah EL-ACHKAR

Salah received a grant to finance his documentary in partnership with the Atelier des Artistes en Exil. 

What is your artistic background ?
I was an actor in an amateur theatre in Aleppo in Syria, and I also directed short films and I was a freelance journalist.  

How do you see your profession today ?
I'm looking forward to entering the world of documentary cinema thanks to the film I'm working on.

How do you see yourself in 5 years ? In 10 years ?
I would like to return to my country, from which I was expelled, to make more films after gaining experience during my exile.
