Séléna received a grant to participate in the Junior Grand Chelem tournament in Australia.
What is your sporting background ?
I started playing tennis at the age of six in the Champs-sur-Marne club. Until I was 11, I took part in national tournaments, where I was one of the best French players. When I was 12, I was registered at the Tremblay club in France and I started "Tennis Europe". Thanks to my ranking of 78th in the under-14 world, I was able to take part in the biggest tournaments in the world. In 2018, I joined the Tennis Club of the 16th arrondissement of Paris, I started playing the Junior (under 18) league and WTA circuit. Currently I am ranked #27 in France and #20 in the world, in the junior category.
How do you see your profession today ?
I think I am lucky to be able to make my hobby my profession. Thanks to my sport, I can travel all year round and discover new cultures.
How do you see yourself in five years ? In 10 years ?
In the years to come, I hope to be in the world’s TOP 10 and win Grand Slams. Afterwards, I would like to pass on to the next generations the experience I have gained at the top level.
