Stanislas GAUTIER
Golfer

Stanislas received a grant to finance his participation in international competitions.

What is your sporting background ?
I started golf at the age of seven and immediately loved the sport and joined the Racing Club de France La Boulie teams when I was 12. I am the youngest French champion as well as the youngest male champion in France. In the same year, I also won the European Championship for under 16s and took part in the Junior Ryder Cup. I decided to go to the United States to continue my studies and play golf at university level. Then, in November 2016, I turned professional.

How do you see your profession today ?
Golf has really become a proper sport, all the best players in the world now are real athletes. It's a sport that is more mentally than physically demanding, and the media pressure is increasingly high.

How do you see yourself in 5 years ? In 10 years ?
I see myself on the European Tour, starting as one of the players at the forefront of the circuit. Then within 10 years, to have won a tournament and to be in the top 50 in the world so I can play in the majors and maybe a Ryder Cup.
