Syromics received a creative grant in partnership with the Atelier des Artistes en Exil.

What is your artistic background ?
Simon Abou Assalli: a music composer, sound engineer, and producer working since the late 90s in Syria, having worked on productions ranging from tv shows to films to theater to music albums.
Ibrahim Audih: musician since the late 2000s, began in Syria and continued working and playing various gigs in France.
Omar Haydar: musician since the late response 2000s, began in Lebanon and continued working and playing in various projects in France.
Syromics: we all met in the summer of 2023 and found immense musical chemistry and decided to form this band to create a blend of progressive rock and electronic music.

What is your view on your profession today?
We view music as a difficult but enriching industry to navigate. We know that things have changed, but we continue to try and create something new to leave our mark on the music world.

How do you see yourself in 5 years? In 10 years?
We see ourselves working on more albums and playing in tours internationally and collaborating with other artists and expanding to work on other productions such as film, video games, and series scoring.
