Vasiliy received a creation grant in partnership with the Atelier des Artistes en Exil.

What is your artistic background ?
My artistic training began at GITIS, Moscow's best theater school, in the directing department, in the workshop of Krymov and Kamenkovich. This was the most experimental theater course in Russia at the time, as it brought together artists, directors and actors, and it was possible to choose different directions for its development. While experimenting, I went on to study at MHAT, and after that, I took part in Mir Yuhananov's laboratory. All this varied practice and experience led me to the Paris Conservatoire to study and play the organ.

 How do you view your profession today ?
Theater is not art, it is life. I don't know how to answer that question, because I don't consider the theater a profession.

 How do you see yourself in 5 years ? In 10 years ?

5 years... 10 years... it's absolutely insignificant. In my opinion, it means very little. I'm certain that in five to 10 years, it's possible to achieve incredible success. Look at many films or other works that were created five to 10 years ago. It's incredible ! I just see myself rich and famous. I see myself happy and healthy, as a whole, and I'm sure that in the next 5 years, I will become more and more famous.
